lyrics
always upgrading, always replacing,
always invading new land
the borderless stomach, the brainwashed mind
desperate for unfamiliarity, so it can feel real again
no feelings are permanent except the thirst for new blood
more brings me more reinforcing my slavery to more
to now, to reality
the same hand that reaches to
draw the book kills the whore, self-mutilates
designing, refining the tool to keep me high
the escape plan from boredom will be found in the
alibi for the machine that kills its father
and that won't resurrect anyone
entertain why for a single clumsy instance before
receding into all is explained as all is merely random
they never lie without a reason
they never lie without a reason
the malignancy grew from tension
was emboldened by intention
quite the strange logic for
a parasite, to kill its host, it stole from its coffers
this perversion is apart from self-expression
created by a voice that longs for reception
misraised, ignored
infiltrated with shame for hiding its pain
unaccounted game of inconvenient mistakes
arrogance has blinded you
from grasping just how far one man will go
they never lie without a reason
they never lie without a reason
no rules no limits fuck life and death and consequences
that's what you're dealing with

Grindy disso-tech? Don't mind if I do syncretist

If I didn’t know any better, I’d be certain that “Reverence Through Disgust” was kicking off a Cattle Decapitation album with it’s harsh, clanky bass tone further punctuating each note. But what transpires ends up being a much more progressive effort that integrates this aforementioned menacing aggression into compositions more akin to the likes of The Ritual Aura, Exocrine, and Enfold Darkness.
